TASTING NOTES
A ruby-colored wine with great intensity and depth. Intense aroma of ripe black fruit (plums, blackberries, and blueberries) with fresh and elegant floral notes. On the palate, it is exceptionally intense and persistent, with ripe fruit and well-polished tannins.
Serving suggestions
Chocolate desserts, traditional Portuguese convent sweets, and blue cheeses (Stilton).
Vinification Method
Vinification in a granite lagar with foot treading and periodic pump-overs to extract phenolic and aromatic compounds, until fermentation is halted during fortification. Fermentation takes place in a granite lagar at a controlled temperature of 24-26ºC until fortification.
